PSAT Testing

The PSAT gives you a great opportunity to practice taking a longer test like the ACT or SAT. There are two different types of PSAT offered. One could lead to a scholarship!

PSAT/NMSQT: This PSAT test is offered in the fall. While sophomores and juniors are both encouraged to take it, juniors who take the test are able to quality for the National Merit Scholarship. These scores are automatically submitted once the test is complete.

PSAT 10: This test is offered in the spring. While these scores are not submitted for a possible scholarship, feedback from this test can help give you a direction in your studying for the SAT or ACT for the following year.

Registration

Glencoe hosts an opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT usually in the fall for all 10th and 11th graders, free or charge. However, this year, the test date will be in January 2021.
