Glencoe Career & College Pathway (CCP) Programs

What is a Career & College Pathway (CCP) Program?
High school is an important part of a student’s preparation for life, a time of transitions to post-secondary education, careers, and adult responsibilities. At Glencoe High School, Career & College Pathway programs can help students to clarify their college and career goals and to select courses that match their goals. Exploratory level courses introduce basic concepts. Foundation classes provide a fundamental understanding of each area of study. Advanced Application courses provide an opportunity for students to extend their knowledge and pursue their individual interests.

Why Enroll in a Career & College Pathway Program?
In a CCP Program, each student:
  • Pursues personal, academic, and career interests
  • Establishes post-high school goals
  • Is actively engaged in educational planning and takes responsibility for learning
  • Applies high-level academic and career-related knowledge and skills in relevant and meaningful learning experiences
  • Has support from school, parents, and the community.

  • Complete Senior Project components related to the CCP program

Extended Learning Opportunity (ELO) and/or Internship:
Internships are not required for the 0.5 Career credit but are required for Career & College Pathway (CCP) Programs. We encourage students to take advantage of any internship experiences so that they may explore career options at the work-site.
